My name is Marco Brun and I was born in the turbulent 1970s on June 26, 1973. Almost exactly ten years after the Beach Boys released their hit Surfin' U.S.A. There were no kite surfers back then, but wave surfing was popular and windsurfing was invented shortly afterwards. As a teenager, I discovered windsurfing and, in my free time, I rode my surfboard on a self-made moped trailer to the nearby lake as often as I could. Surfing has never let go of me to this day. I first came into contact with kitesurfing over twenty years ago. After a three-hour introductory course, I managed to control the kite and run uphill with the board. Since this unforgettable experience, I have been bitten by the kitesurfing bug and have been practicing this cool sport regularly, especially in the kitesurfing hotspot of Egypt for over twenty years. At the end of 2023 I sold my company for health reasons. I am a trained automotive diagnostician and ran my own automotive business for years. Since this year I have been living my favorite hobby as a job and working in the kitesurfing sector. Here I would like to pass on my many years of experience in kitesurfing and my passion for this unique sport to others.
